just looked up his stats BEFORE we bought him...

24 Apps - 9 goals - 14 Assists

... looks like ANOTHER player we ruined

Re: Snodgrass
I am afraid we will have to keep hold of him this summer. Simply because there is no other mug out there to pay anything like the money we shelled out for him.
He has the acceleration of a dead tortoise, would struggle to cross a road, never mind a football and has the positional nous of a fucking goldfish with Alzheimers.
He is as likely to win us a game off the bench as I am to win next year's London Marathon and it has to be said if he was a racehorse he would have been shot by now.
Whatever possessed us to part with a substantial sum of money for this utterly useless piece of dross completely escapes me. Everton paid half of what we did for him for Sandro Ramirez. Watch him go this season. He is a player who could change things from the bench.
And for that matter we only paid £6 million more for the services of Javier Hernandez a proven striker who has played, and scored, for 2 of the biggest clubs in world football.
I was at a loss to see what we saw in him before he actually signed and having seen him in our colours I've seen nothing to make me change my mind.

Oh, I don't rate him btw.

Re: Snodgrass
Looks like another player we have ruined… as before he joined us he was absolute mustard for Hull… what was it 8 goals and 18 assists before we got him in January?? Then he joined us… 0 goals and 1 assist IIRC…. That’s quite a fall from grace… BUT… no doubt the talent is there… I’m hoping he’ll come good this season…

Re: Snodgrass
What has Ayew said to give the impression that he is not happy? His latest interview suggests nothing of the sort, he seems happy and has said that a full pre-season (unlike joining us late last year) will help him hit top form.

Re: Snodgrass
Feghouli is a good player. Snodgrass isn't. Ayew is also a good player but clearly not happy. I'm really not sure where he fits in now with Hernandez's arrival.

camel

I'm not sure he would push to leave for a pay cut. it seems like the teams interested are not willing to match his 60/65k per week wages.

Re: Snodgrass
He's not good enough and needs to move on. He could excel at a team like Brighton and we'll get £8m. He should push to leave.

I'm disappointed he's still here!

We could really have done with unloading a lot more of the deadwood this window

Re: Snodgrass
Feghouli is 100 times better then snodgrass. He can finish, he can beat/take players on and he has more of a impact coming on from the bench. Whereas snodgrass was bought for his crosses , set piece deliveries and he cannot even do that.

Re: Snodgrass
Snodlazyarse should of been one of the first out in this window as he will never come good here.

Re: Snodgrass
So a FEW, not MANY.

He's better than Snodgrass, but that's not really a gauge to go by, he's poor and needs replacing with better.

Re: Snodgrass
Snodgrass is so slow I could catch him in a sprint...

He only looked reasonably good at Hull because the rest of the team were all cart horses that couldn't kick a ball accurately....

do you fucking want some then?

yes, MANY. He had a fe decent games and scored a few important goals.

MANY occasions?

Re: Snodgrass
I dobt really get this hatred for Feghouli. He did well on many occasions last season in a side that was battered confidence wise. Snodders is simply shit.

Re: Snodgrass
Agree, one of the worst bit of business by the club. Let's just hope we get rid asap. Even feghouli is better

Re: Snodgrass
With any struggling player, the challenge is to work them into their better form. That's why I favoured keeping Snodgrass and rehabilitating him. But I must say his performances in pre-season have been so obviously awful that I'm doubting that. I don't trust our coaches to improve out-of-form players either. So now I'm thinking we should take any decent offer, and pretty clearly the club do too.

Re: Snodgrass
Snodgrass was another in a long line of disastrous buys by the club.
The guy has always been a bit of a journeyman who, before joining us, had only played for shit Scottish clubs or middle ranking English sides and had never done anything exceptional. He showed a bit of form for Hull for a few months, hence our idiotic interest.

He was bought as a panic measure to plug the Payet gap, but I don't recall him having a single decent game for us. In fact most matches he started in he was truly woeful.

Yet there are idiots on here saying he's alright and should be given a chance to prove himself. How many more games does he need? Probably much the same bunch of fools who this time last year were telling us how good our transfer window had been.

Re: Snodgrass
If he's going to be 'last choice' as a winger then yes, it makes sense to sell, get as much as we can back for him, and give the squad spot to a youngster.

It's a shame as i was hoping he had much more to give than what we saw in the second half of last season.
